What Is In A Name
Genwyn is derived from the Old English word “Geniwian” which means renewal like when the moon is born anew, and it’s the word that “renewal” is derived from. “Genwyn” sounds like “genuine.” We strive to use natural ingredients without synthetic preservatives, so that our products are genuinely close to nature. We aim to be genuine in our thoughts, words and deeds, so that the spirit of healing and well-being passes through the creation of our hand-made products.
Healing In Step With Nature
Our pain salves feature the Arnica montana flower, which has been used in Europe for thousands of years for healing and topical pain relief. We also use peppermint and menthol to address muscle aches. We are concerned that anything applied topically to our skin gets absorbed into our blood streams. Many traditional lotions have preservatives and harsh chemicals whose long term effects are not known. We use natural shea butter and organic jojoba and almond base oils, to stay close to nature. We use Vitamin E oil as a natural preservative and have been working to create safe, healing products.
